I think I'm pretty good at putting up with stuff. I have patience for most things that aren't stupid. Stupidity has a way of getting to me quickly, but other than that, I'm willing to wait. And I'm willing to put up with stuff to get a greater good out of the end. Usually.
But man, the heat? I can't stand hot weather. Honestly, and I'm not lying or making this up just for wonderful reading (although there's no denying that this is literary jubilation), today I was thinking how great it will be when autumn comes around again, and we have crisp autumn days. I was seriously thinking about that. I can't WAIT for it to be winter again. Although I got a little thrill in the early part of the week with the weather being sunny and warm outside, I've quickly come to the gross part of summer: sweating, humidity, heat, sun, uncomfortable travelling....
So, I'm SUPER glad that the air conditioning came on in my building today. The last few days were pure liquid hell, and I was sleeping in just shorts with the windows open, and drinking super cold water just before sleeping. I'm surprised at how little tolerance I have for heat. I should seriously move to Alaska. I think I will.
Wait, I can't move to Alaska, because I got a new JOB today! (nice seguey, eh?) I had an interview at BMO Nesbitt Burns this morning at 9, and I got offered the job at 2. Pretty sweat, eh? I manhandled, bullied, dominated, and basically trod all over the interviewers today. They had no choice but to give me the job. They really should practice their interviewing skills. But I'm glad. Now I have a low paying job to go along with my non-paying one. So I'm looking for a 3rd job, which pays me enough to keep myself going during the summer. Basically, to spend on food, going out, and golfing. I can live with the fact that I'll never be able to afford a car by the end of the summer, because I'm gonna buy one anyways. As a wise-man, who soon thereafter went broke said, "It's all about credit."
