I'm super jealous of people who work. And people who aren't sick.
Case #1 - People who work have it good. They have it super good. They just go to work at 9, eat lunch at 12, leave work at 5ish, and then have NOTHING to do for the rest of the day. Of course they have to cook and clean and run errands, but those are always going to have to be done. So really, they just have something to do for 8 hours a day. Their weekends are TOTALLY free, and they don't have to really think about anything work-related for the whole weekend. I, on the other hand, always have homework to do at night, and projects and stuff get scheuduled for weekends. I haven't even had time for a haircut, which is why my hair is gonna be CRAZY on Monday. People like Squid even have time to go have adventures to Buffalo for the Leafs game, and Babbu gets to go play cards for money on the weekend. Karmo goes to Alleycats and gets worked by another girl. I get to make an Excel spreadsheet. Yay.
Case #2 - Sick is for suckers. And I'm the biggest sucker right now. Yesterday, I thought I'd be better, because it's been like 5 days with this stupid cough/cold thing. But no. I go to teach ESL, and I'm already feeling a bit sick to my stomach. Fortunately, the students made me feel good about myself, telling me how they're gonna miss me during the summer. But then on my way home, I start actually feeling like throwing up. That's really bad, because I was on the TTC, and there's nowhere good to throw up on the TTC. I mean, seriously, I was dying there for a few minutes, breathing deeply and everything. When I got my tummy under control, I called Glen to tell him I didn't wanna go to youth group. Then I went home and slept for a while, not wanting to sit up because I thought I'd become nauseous again. And only suckers sleep because they can't sit up or they'll throw up. And so, sick is for suckers.
