Hello my little sweaties. Yes, it's 4:30 in the morning. The only good thing about being awake at 4:30 in the morning is that I can talk to some people in Hong Kong and India on MSN, because they're actually awake.

The reason I'm up so late is that I just got home from playing poker with some high school guys. It was my first time, but I didn't get any beginner's luck. I did, however, have a really nice run at the end, where I won back most of the money I had lost over the course of the night. At one point, I was actually shaking with nervousness, because I was sure that the cards that I had, which were really good, were going to lose again to one of my friends who simply was getting amazing cards all night. But I finally won that one, and that started a good string of wins. Overall, I can see why people like it so much. It's pretty thrilling when you think you have everyone beat. I just have to make sure I don't ever take too much money along with me when I go to play.

I'm fully immersed into non-school mode now. I went golfing today too. The weather cleared up in the afternoon, and it was absolutely perfect weather for golf. As normal, I putted really really badly, but other than that, I was happy with my round. I even hit a really good drive, and I hit a fairway wood, which is a personal victory. The last time I hit a fairway wood, I hit my ball onto a busy 2-lane highway, and I almost hit a car. That was bad. But today, when I hit fairway wood, I got it right onto the green, and I got a really crazy bounce which set me up for par. 3 bogies and 2 pars. I was quite happy.

Tomorrow, dim sum and video games. This weekend could be better, but it'd require rocket boots and finger lasers. And we all know that only one person has those.

I'm pretty sure that come monday, I'm gonna miss school a little. I'm gonna miss getting to class 5 minutes late, and having Nessa, or Jenno, or JD (ya, that's taran's nickname, even though he has no J in his name anywhere......I think he's just making it up), or Panpar save a seat for me. And I'll miss the weird people at school. Weird people make the world go round, and the world is spinning much faster because of the people in my program. But, then I'll think about exams, and assignments, and waking up early, and I'll quickly realize how much better NOT having classes is. And then I'll pull the covers up a bit, and snooze for another hour.
