I consider my life at least semi-charmed.  I know I have it good.  But I had it really good today when I finished work at 3.  The only thing was, I had to wait around to go to dinner with Moog for his birthday.  So, I did what all teenage punks do when they have time to kill: I went to hang out at Eaton Centre.  I spent about 2 hours there.  I walked around the whole mall twice, and stopped at Indigo to look at some magazines and stopped at HMV and Music World just to check if anything good had come out recently.

But THEN, I went by Sports Experts, or whatever that place is called now.  And I saw it: a Fairway 5-iron, in the mixed clubs section.  It's exactly the same as the one I broke a few months ago.  So, I asked how much it was.  The guy had to go check.  I waited for more than 10 minutes, because he couldn't determine whether it was a men's or lady's club (yes, squid, yes.).  So he eventually said that as long as I didn't mind the possibility that it was a lady's club - after we measured it against a men's complete set and determined that it was the same length as a men's club - that he would give it to me for the lady's price of $14.  How extra sweat is that?  So now my clubs are complete once again.  I really hope that this 5-iron is as good as the one that I broke.  I loved my old 5-iron:  it had the best sweet spot of all my clubs, and I always made good contact with it.  If this new one is half as good as the old one, it'll quickly become my favourite club again.

Oh, and I finish work in the middle of August now, so Vancouver is a possibility.  That keeps me going through the day.
