If there were a way to make my self angry, it would be to think about how TV and movie writers make people think that pre-marital sex is okay. I'm talking with someone about that right now, and it's frustrating to think that we're all shaped by what we see people on TV shows do. I don't think anyone can say that their values haven't been at least slightly shaped by what they've see on TV. According to TV, it's okay to have sex with many people, at any time. It's also acceptable to "pimp" (whatever that means now). It's okay to yell at people because you think you're right, and it's okay to buy into materialism for the good of the economy, and it's okay to cheer for your country and boo another country to show "patriotism" and "allegiance" (which basically means that you can be racist, as long as you're supporting your country and not calling anyone a derogatory name). And it's fine to say something, as long as you "keep it real".

Those things are not okay. And if we support them, we should be aware that we're accepting responsibility for the consequences, which will be, basically, the downfall of America being the superpower of the world. Not that I don't sometimes think that that would be a good thing. I can understand the need for entertainment and following interests, but allowing ourselves to lower our standards should never cross our minds. We shouldn't accept things/ideas just because someone says that it's right. Someone will eventually say that everything is okay or right. Then we'll be in big doo-doo.
