So, I got bad news today in the morning. Mornings are a relatively bad time to receive bad news. There are so many other times that I'd rather receive bad news. But then again, I'd just rather not. Anyways, the last time I got some pretty bad news it was followed by more and then even more bad news. So, I'm hoping for a break in tradition here. I'm hoping for no precidence. I'm hoping for a hot chocolate tomorrow morning.
Hot chocolate makes alot of things better. It can't make the situation better for the person who suffered the bad news, but it temporarily reminds us that nothing can be so bad that it's too much to handle. Even the worst thing that could happen to you (whatever it is) is manageable. But it takes small steps in the right direction and some strength. If you think you made a bad choice, or should have done something differently, don't let the fact that it's in the past affect your attempts to change the outcome for the future.
The best part of something bad happening to you (ya, there's a good part) is that it gives us great introspection (let's you see yourself as you really are). We overlook some parts of ourselves because of our egos, and sometimes the only way that we ever see that we're wrong about those things is by something dramatic to happen to us. And it's a good thing to have that happen to us (even all the time if we could get it!). Hopefull we learn from it each and every time.
Now, time to sleep and dream of hot chocolate.
