I re-read my post from yesterday. Now to complete it.
I also saw a person who had massive amounts of wasted talent over the weekend. They're smart, but the things that they've applied those smarts to are so mediocre that it's amazing they haven't become really depressed. You know those people in school who were real over-achievers? This person was probably one of them, but now they're basically just existing and fading. I wouldn't be surprised if this person is just a "oh, remember so-and-so" in a few years. Who knows.
And the person who just doesn't know what to do with themselves, so they spend money to appease themselves. Not that money grows on trees, but it's the only thing they know how to do well enough to please themself. So how much of a waste is that? Especially when the things they buy aren't for good use.
In completely unrelatedness, remember how I said that if I had to be a Harry Potter character, I wouldn't wanna be Harry, but I'd prefer to be Ron because he gets Hermione? Well I change my mind. I'm reading The Order of the Phoenix again, and I'd wanna be Dumbledore. Sure, he's old. But he's such a badass. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read, or re-read, the book.
